A FAN’S VIEW….Nick impressive

By Steve Potter Day 36 **Jake Arrieta pitched in the minor league game on Roberts Field today against the AAA Jays contingent. From my vantage point in Spectrum Field I can see the Roberts scoreboard. Looks like they scored four runs on Jake. **Because of Tuesday’s rainout in West Palm, Seranthony Dominguez, Edubray Ramos, Victor Arano and Drew Anderson were also scheduled to pitch at the complex. **Bryce Harper got his first Phillies…

A FAN’S VIEW…relieved about Harper’s injury

By Steve Potter Day 31 Our son, Dan, took the photo of Bryce Harper after he was hit on his right ankle by a 96-miles-per-hour fastball on Friday. Relieved by the media reports today that the x-rays were negative. He was to play Sunday but we’ll just have to wait and see. Astros 13, Phillies 5 **Dylan Cozens played center field, he’s done that multiple times already this spring. While the big…

A FAN’S VIEW…Bed for baseball trade

By Steve Potter Day 30 Spent the afternoon at the Complex watching the single-A minor league games after being flattened by the flu bug for the most of this week. Glad to trade the bed for baseball. In the game on Ashburn Field managed by the Williamsport crew the Phillies prevailed over the Blue Jays 2–1. There was shade to sit in on Roberts Field so that’s where we went! The…

A FAN’S VIEW…spring record now 7–2–2

By Steve Potter Day 21Another rainy morning which limited minor league practice at the Complex today. The guys wrapped up early and were leaving at around 11 a.m. or so. Pregame BP at the stadium was also rained out for both the Phillies and the Cardinals as the tarp covered the field. I used the time to chat and catch up with a few of the minor league players. Phillies 2, Cardinals…
